I have been watching twitter closely, and I have reason to believe that Ian and Nina are with each other right now!
Earlier on Nina tweeted "A lot to look forward to when I land in LA... Power Of Youth today!". Meanwhile Julie tweeted "LA-bound. Need a shower and a nap". This raised the question, whether Julie and Nina where together. But this was answered when Julie replied to a fan saying "I'm presenting Nina at an event honoring her".
Here is where it gets exciting! Ian replied to Julies first tweet which said " The Beatles&loud headphones always make airports better - the shower and nap I can't help with - you can nap on my shoulder".
This seems to me that Ian is voluntarily going with Nina and Julie to Power Of Youth to support Nina.
I have been reluctant to do a post about the rumored split of Nina Dobrev and Ian Somerhalder, but I think it is time to share my opinion on this!
I want to start of by saying that, all of you who read this blog know that I love Nian, but whether they are together or not, we have to respect them. Of course I would love for them to still be together, but being amazingly close friends is good enough for me.
I read posts from other online news sources and bloggers, and I hate their assumptions. All I seem to be reading is how 'Ian cheated', 'Ian made Nina cry', 'They will remain professional', 'They act awkward around each other' and the one that really gets to me our these "sources" that seem to pop up all the time. Ian is an amazing man, how could he ever cheat, and why would he want to when he has Nina, I mean come on, she is perfect!
You all know that comic con has just passed, leading up to this, people new that this was the time when we can see how Ian and Nina act around each other. But those people who where saying that they where awkward with each other must have been watching something completely different to me, because through my eyes, I saw them acting normal! Ok, they weren't hugging/ kissing, but I didn't expect them too, not at a work based event.
Here is what I saw;
We all know what this is right? It's the Nian necklace. That's all I gotta say!
This isn't the clearest picture, and it may be nothing, but honestly, look at it. Anyone with eyes can see that their hands are touching. If their hands where just near each others then their would be more of a shadow.
Those looks to each other. Do they look awkward to you?
There is also a video of an interview at comic con, that took place on a yacht. They certainly weren't awkward then, by singing with each other, and staring at each other every now and then.
I get that some people say they are just pictures, but a picture speaks a thousand words. And all of the above show me that they are either together still or they are still best friends.
At the end of the day, all we can do is have our opinions and suspicions, because unless Nina or Ian speak out, we wont know for sure.

Insurgence 5, in Birmingham, started on the 14th June and ended on the 16th, I am late but I thought today I'd share my experience with you all.
Rogue Events had a great line up this year; Ian Somerhalder, Nathaniel Buzolic, Todd Williams, Michael Trevino, Matt Davis, Sebastian Roche, Rick Worthy, Candice Accola and last but not least Kat Graham.
I have to admit, before I got there I wasn't exactly fangirling over Todd, Seb and Rick, but after being there I absolutely love them!
On the friday their was a 70's party for all the attendee's, so that people could kick of the weekend in style. Then it was up early to start the Saturday with stage talks and autographs followed by a Homecoming party, which Nate attended! It got even better on Sunday with more stage talks and autographs, finishing it all of with the amazing closing ceremony!
That was just a summary of what happened over the weekend!
Here is a few pictures that I took whilst I was there;
I am still recovering from the shock of being this close to the Ian Somerhalder. Unfortunately I didn't get an autograph of him because he was a sponsored guest and I didn't have chance to pay! Next year though!
Yes, that's right! I was that close to him! And he is so amazing! He actually made me cry!
There isn't enough words to describe this man! Only people who where at Insurgence 5 will understand how dirty minded but hilarious he was! Again he was a sponsored guest so no autograph :(
Todd Williams. So not who I expected him to be! I have actually fell in love with this guy! Plus he gave me a hug when he was giving me his autograph *blushing*!
He certainly was not what I was expecting! Other Insurgence attendees will understand me when I say these four things - Magners. Bulmers. Cake. Harlem Shake.
Matt Davis aka Ernesto Riley, was everything I expected and more! And I've got to say, this guy has some serious dance moves!
Kat Graham. Wow. She is absolutely perfect!
I loved these two people so much! Caroline is one of my favourite characters, and Candice is so much like her, she is perfect in every way (and she complemented me on my mustache top :-p). Michael Trevino is HOT! So much more in person! Actually, me and my cousin were walking down the corridor to get our autographs, and there Michael was, walking right beside us. He was in touching distance, I should of said hello, but I just carried on walking, mouth open, staring, starstruck!
It was the best experience of my life! And I hope I get to go next year.

I'm sure all you Somerholics know that in December of 2010, Ian set up The Ian Somerhalder Foundation. But do you know what they do? Do you know how you can help?
